Kelly Kapowski: Unforgettable Goddess of The 90’s TV Series Saved By The Bell

Kelly Kapowski, is a fictional character from the 1989’s NBC TV show ‘Saved By The Bell’played by an American actress Tiffani Amber Thiessen , The success of the show made Thiessen a  household name and gave her career a boost and she received nominations for Outstanding Young Ensemble Cast in 1990  in Young Artist Award . Simultaneously she also played Valerie Malone on Fox’s Beverly Hills (1994–98), and as Lori on Netflix’s Alexa and Katie (2018–2020). Kelly Kapowski is truly Unforgettable Goddess of The 90’s. The show goes after a group of friends from the  high school and their principal at the Bayside High School a fictional place in Los Angeles.

This show Primarily focuses on cheery and joyful situations full of,  comedy but it occasionally picks up on some serious social issues, such as women’s rights ,drug use, remarriage ,driving under the influence, death, homelessness  and environmental issues. Saved By The Bell series also starred Elizabeth Berkley Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Lark Voorhies ,Dustin Diamond, Mario Lopez and  Dennis Haskins. Targeted at teens and kids , Saved by the Bell was broadcast on Saturday mornings in United States.

If we talk about the ficitional character Kelly Morris (née Kapowski) she was the captain and the head cheerleader of the volleyball,softball and swim teams at Bayside High,California’s top performing Junior and High School . She was a famous girl in school, she goes on  as a good student and a role model to other students, despite she found herself punished with detention the numerous times . she became the love-interest of lead student Zack Morris AKA Governor Zachary.He is main protagonist of Saved by the Bell .During the later years of her high school career,  The two eventually married after an on/off relationship.

Apart from Nikki she also has two younger brothers Billy and Kyle.After a date with Kelly ,Kyle dumps water on Zack.In the episode ‘Zack’s War’ Kelly says that she has Three older brothers.Her brother Kenny Leonard can burp his entire name ,she says in the episode ‘House Party’,and on the other side in S03E13 named ‘The wicked step brother’ she says her brother named Bennett at the age of 19 blew out his Birthday candles with mouth full of Diet Coke.There is one more brother who was never named as far we know ,please let us know in comments if you know.

Kelly Kapowski in Season 2 of Saved By The Bell

The following school year turned out to be a dead-end to Kelly and Zack’s relationship because Zack wanted go stable with Kelly but she wasn’t ready to accept the offer but later by the time when shed decides to accept offer of Zack, he had become obssesed with a young school nurse.So this year marked the end of their relationship.Later when he tried to make an apology and get her back she rejected him.However in the episode (“Breaking Up is Hard to Undo”) they were seen back together .

Later Kelly Started working as waitress at the Max and fell for her boss , Jeffrey Hunter  it turned out to be a Zack’s disappointment and it caused breakup of Kelly and Zack.Jeff was caught at an 18+ Adult only club named the Attic with another girl which resulted in breakup of Kelly and Jeff.

Saved by the Bell: The College Years,is a follow-up series of the main Saved by the bell .In this Kelly Kapowski gets accepted into California University alongside Zack, Slater, and Screech as suitemates.She also became the new roomie of Alex Taber and  Leslie Burke. While at California University, This time She had an relationship with Jeremiah Lasky who was her anthropology professor. This time Zack tries to make a final attempt to Win Her at Sea program.Zack remained friends with her.

In this follow up series Kelly and Zack had planned to get married in Las Vegas and they managed to bring Slater,lisa turtle and Screech with them for the event without much support from their families.Zack’s parents showed and stopped the marriage just before they exchanged vows at a cheap wedding chapel. They told Zack and Kelly that they would give them elaborated outdoor wedding in the Las Vegas area which will be their wedding of dreams. Slater and Screech stood as groomsmen while Jessie and Lisa stood as bridesmaids. And the Newly married couple then went on a honeymoon
